This small postcard print features a green and brown tree like figure set against a backdrop of varying shades of blue.

In a style termed improvisational, the artist picks out several colors and begins working them onto to the canvas, unsure of the end result. Gradually things begin to stand out and eventually the artist will accentuate what the ink has created. Without wanting to sound trite, it sometimes feels as though the painting does all of the work, with the artist channeling that energy. With ink, by its very nature, you have to go with the flow.
