Shades of apple and pineapple assemble and merge with turquoises and cyans in this resin-like painting  painted with acrylic.

Each painting reproduction by former starving artist Brian Moss is printed on stocky 5 gram 14 point recycled cardstock. The fronts of this non-folding stationery feature a smudge-free matte finish, while the reverse boasts plenty of white space to write on. At 4" x 6" they are ideal for mailing, and can also be displayed in small picture frames to add color in small areas.

ARTIST'S OPINION

Though hard to make out, many of the yellow blotches are smiley faces, untethered from below and flying high as kites (or in this case balloons). That isn't too say that some of the balloons don't need a pick me up (some most certainly do). But maybe we over-prescribe pharmaceuticals (at least in America where as many as 13% of people are on one or more anti-depressant), and perhaps the oxycontin epidemic is getting out of hand in this country.

What I am trying to communicate is that perhaps we need to remove the idealized dream of having 2.5 kids and a picket fence, and instead focus on strings that keep us grounded & make us feel fulfilled. Something like that.
