This expressionism piece is the first painting I finished shortly after my father passed away from lung cancer unexpectedly. It was also the first work I had made in some time, and in some ways is responsible for reigniting my painting in my mid 20's. As one of the biggest supporters of my art, my dad would have appreciated that.

A dark black patch looms over a shape-filled yellow canvas, as an anatomical like spine or lymphatic type system abruptly cuts through the landscape. Chaotic, broken shapes signify his untied loose ends and unsaid goodbyes, while puzzle pieces and fissures represent how my family's lives were rearranged in his absence.

This work is available as a limited edition 8.5 inch x 11 inch print. Each is hand numbered out of an edition of 100, and signed by yours truly, both in small black pen on the front. It is packaged in a re-closeable ziplock bag with a cardboard backer to keep it stiff and prevent it from being bent.
