Various hosehould solvents were used by this artist to dry out the pigments and efficiently blend the colors. In a playful doodle style, puzzle-like pieces are outlined and provide a striking polarity to the vibrant magazine clippings of flowers & dark green blobs of ink.

These green postcards are printed on heavyweight 5 gram card, which is comprised of roughly 50% post consumer waste. Each card has been digitally reproduced to show the full range of colors and all of the details and subtleties that comprise the original painting.

ARTIST REMARKS

The title of this painting, and the idea for the seed is loosely inspired by a line from the Eric Clapton song of the same name, “Plant your love and let it grow”. It is not so much a direct interpretation of the song line for line per se, so much as a tribute to the idea the song stands for, or rather, my interpretation.

Many of my paintings are inspired by small ideas which have been seed like this, with some inspirations more direct than others.
