This painting features heavy doses of reds, yellows and blues (and by extension some orange, green and purple). It was painted with acrylics in a free-form "improvisational" style, with highlights by white gel stick pens.

ARTIST COMMENTS

Often times the title of painting is inspired by a piece, but sometimes the painting is inspired by a word, or fragment or phrase.

This was part of a (incomplete) 365 day series where I would work on 1 painting each day. Several other postcards spawned out of this exercise. By setting a strict window of time for each piece it forced me to work out ideas & color patterns, and to not end up getting too lost in the details by lingering.

Most of the work looks like what you would expect a 24 hour painting to look like, however, some pieces only required that little amount of time.
