Lemon yellow, reds and blues meld together and fade to black in this intertwined painting in the familiar style of abstract expressionism that took hold in the latter part of the 20th century.

With a notable exception of a touch of green, this is painted with a primary-colored palette reminiscent of something a drunk Mondrian might have painted in the latter part of his career if he had just said, "To hell with this".

ARTIST RECOUNTING

Often times the title of a work comes last, after the piece is finished. Other times the artwork has a working title before any paint is applied. In this case it was inspired by a word I don’t understand, picked up while listening to the Science Channel. So my painting is probably not an accurate portrayal of said word, but I sure like the sound of it.
